In this chapter, you will learn Linux terminal basics, run commands, use shortcuts, find help, work safely with sudo, and manage your system.
In the previous chapter, you built a working Ubuntu system, updated it, and created a snapshot you can restore whenever you need a clean starting point.
Now it is time to start using it.
For many beginners, the terminal may look unfamiliar at first because it gives you an empty screen and waits for you to tell it what to do.
There are no large buttons explaining which command comes next, but that is also what makes the terminal so useful.
Once you understand the prompt, command structure, shortcuts, and built-in help system, the terminal becomes much less intimidating.
